There has been a rise in Covid cases in many states in the last few weeks and the presence of JN.1 sub-variant has been detected in nine states and union territories so far. According to INSACOG, these states include Kerala (78 cases), Gujarat (34 cases), Karnataka (8 cases), Maharashtra (7 cases), Rajasthan (5 cases), Tamil Nadu (4 cases), Telangana (2 cases) and Delhi. According to INSACOG data, JN.1 was present in 141 Covid cases reported in the country in December, while 16 such cases were detected in November. 702 cases of corona reported in one day
According to PTI, The Health Ministry said on Thursday (December 28) that 702 cases of Covid-19 were reported in India in a single day, taking the number of active cases to 4,097.
There were six new deaths in a 24-hour period, according to the ministry data updated at 8 am. On December 22, 752 new cases were registered in the country. By December 5, the number of daily cases had dropped to double digits. But after the emergence of new variants and cold weather conditions, cases have increased again.
